Fall Break and Pumpkin Patches

Wow, already at the end of October. Other than our Halloween Party, we spent the rest of Fall Break just doing activities that we don't get the chance to do as often when school is in session - including visits to the zoo, a museum, pumpkin patches (more on that in a minute), breakfast at the airport, bouncing fun a few times, and most importantly, just good ol' quality time with each other. The boys played and played.

We got the opportunity to visit our first pumpkin patch for free thanks to a news station visiting one morning. The boys even got close-ups on that morning's news! Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to cut the footage to show.

During the first week of Fall Break Aaron still had school and happened to have a field trip to a different pumpkin patch (at least conveniently planned so that Nate could go, too!)

It was nice to have some quality time with Nate while Aaron was in school, something else that is hard to come by these days.

We visited our last pumpkin patch this past weekend, this time with daddy. I have to say, I'm a bit pumpkin patch-ed out now!

Halloween Party

Usually during fall break we like to have a Halloween Party with friends to sort of kick off the holiday. Early, yes, but this way it allows Nate to enjoy it with us (and some of his friends, too, if they're in town). This year, especially, a lot of friends were busy, but it was still nice with the ones we had!

The boys are always so excited and happy to have a fun party and friends over that they're such good helpers. Helping me set up, put food out, make goody bags, whatever needed done.

This also marked my last event in my Mom's Club...sniff sniff. This past month was my renewal month for the club I've been in since Nate was around six months old. And you know, this has been the first time I've actually thought it was time to go. Even though Aaron isn't in school full time yet, we're getting busier. And I know that it's not like I'm saying goodbye for good, we have plenty of friends we'll keep in contact with and make plans to see. It's just time to keep marching forward....
